This is how you keep a crawler busy on an airplane ride that is 5 hours long! You just let her crawl around on the floor between her and my seats. Of course being the nut that I am, I wiped down the bars, wall, and seats with Lysol wipes :)

Vacation Round-up: Post 2!

Vacation Round-up: Post 1!

A couple of shots from my step-brother, Larry's wedding. It was so gorgeous! The location, the weather, the flowers and the food were just awesome. And we can't forget the bride; Shannon was just beautiful :)

The only picture I have where you can really see Addison's dress. She didn't like it so much. We changed her in to PJs pretty early, but I thought it was just darling!

She did really well at the wedding. Even after driving 3 hours from Pennslyvania to Maryland, she was pretty happy. She fussed during the ceremony and I quickly bolted to the back so she didn't disturb anyone. At the reception, she was crawling around on the floor having a great time. She even slept for a bit in her stroller towards the end. It was an eventful day for her meeting tons of new people, but I am so glad we were able to go and see everyone. I was even happier to be there for the wedding :)

We are Leaving on Vacation!!

Addison and I are heading out for the East coast tomorrow AM. We are on a non-stop flight from LA to Philadelphia. 5.5 hours on a plane! Wish us luck. This is so much different than the 2.5 hour trip to Seattle when she was 2 months old. She want to be crawling around everywhere. Yikes!

We have some fun times planned with my family in New Jersey and Pennslyvania. Then it's down to Maryland to visit Nana, Aunt Kristen and family. We are flying out especially for my step-brother Larry's wedding.

So, if you have a moment tomorrow, think GOOD BABY ON THE PLANE thoughts!! When we land in PA, we'll be greeted by Grandmom and Aunt Judy! So nice to know help is a plane ride away :)

We'll update with details and pictures when we get back! I'm so excited to see my family and spend time with my girl!!!

Princess Syndrome!

She still won't hold her own bottle! If she wants a drink, she leans over and tries to drink that way. She even gets frustrated when you try and get her to hold the bottle herself :,,(

And you can forgot about Sippy cups all together. She won't even play with those!

Peas & Carrots

Addison is starting to enjoy feeding herself at times. This time, she had steamed peas and carrots. She focuses so hard on picking up the food and getting it to her mouth. Suprisingly, not much was left in her bib afterwards. Of course, she tossed the bowl off the highchair towards the end!

Ventura County Fair Fun!

We had lots of fun with Shannon, Jazmin, AJ, and Addie last weekend at the Ventura County Fair. We played games, checked out the livestock, ate yummy food, and the kids rode the rides. Jazzy even jumped in this crazy harness trampoline thing. It was pretty cool. Addison was an angel the whole time!!!

Check Out My New Learning Table!

We bought the Fisher Price Learning Table for Addison last week. Our rationale behind it: If she pratices pulling up at the table, we can practice helping her sit back down. Well, as with the normal excitement that builds when we bring home something new and cool, Addie didn't care too much about it. She wanted to play with the strap to my luggage instead!

I'm 8 Months Old!

My baby turned 8 months old on July 30th. Man, time flies. It goes by faster and faster each month.

Addison got her 3rd tooth this month. And different from what I have read in baby books (I know, I know, I can't just go by 'the books') she got her top tooth to the left side of the two middle top. We could have sworn the top middle was coming in, this one shocked us. I think we have quite a few more on the way as well. The drooling is crazy :)

Addie is a full-on crawler now! We have reached the point where she has connnected this new skill with her desire to get somewhere. And now, we babyproof! It's so cute to see her crawling around. To me she still looks like this little baby that is too little to crawl.

She has also mastered going from crawling to sitting and back. The one skill I wish she would master is getting down from standing. As of now, she just cries and we help her. We keep attempting to show her, but this princess is a little lazy and does things at her own pace. I wonder where that comes from :S

Overall her sleeping has improved as well. Her naps are very consistent and nighttime is getting better. She goes down around 7:30-8 PM now and usually sleep until 5:30 AM, then back to sleep until around 7:30, depending on if I am up getting ready for work.
