30 Week Update

Hi All! Things are going great for me. I hit 30 weeks this past Sunday. I also found out that I passed my 3 hour glucose test...woohooo! Such a huge relief. We are working hard on the baby's room and should have tons of pictures to share soon. I'll be able to post more often since we'll finally be getting high-speed internet this week.

Little Addison is growing tons. It's crazy, I can actually feel her feet pushing against me close to my ribs. It such a strange and totally different feeling from when I first started to feel her move. She is surely much bigger now! I'm getting the joys of the third trimester like back aches and restless nights, but nothing to really complain about.

This weekend my friends are throwing a baby shower for me. I am so excited!! Lots of pictures to come :)

A few shots from our trip to Vegas

We had an amazing time in Vegas this weekend just relaxing and hangin our on Lake Mead. A few shots to share. First of my dad and Roger being "Captains" of the boat. A couple of Roger on the raft on the lake.

Small projects accomplished in Addison's Room

The letters I painted to hang on the wall above her crib. The light fixture is part of her bedding collection. Roger just hung it last night :)

I failed :(

The one hour glucose test! My number was 146, the cut off was 140. I know have to re-take the test with an extra sugary drink and a three hour fast before and after the drink. I hope I pass the second time around!!

Some updated pics of Addie's Room

We have drywall!!! Woohoo! And a quick shot of her little door plaque and new bookcase :)

Getting bigger and bigger! Next time we'll need to do a full length shot :)

Things are going great for me. Little Addison moves around quite a bit now. I'm starting to discover some of the more unpleasent pregnancy side effects, but I'll certainly not complain about it! I have my lovely glucose test coming up next week. This is the test where I fast for three hours, drink some awful sugar-loaded orange drink, fast another hour, and then have blood drawn. It's supposed to measure how my body is processing sugar in my boday. Hopefully I'll pass! If not, instead of a one hour wait between drink and bllod draw, next time it will be three hours!

The start of Addison's room!

Roger has been working so hard and has done such a fantastic job building the addition on to Addison's room. Here are the first shots of the base addition almost complete. Now we begin the drywall, ceiling, painting, flooring and trimwork. We still have far to go, but I wanted to show off the amazing craftsmanship Roger has shown thus far!

My unwanted tour of Labor & Delivery!

Along with a 23 week update!

I'll tell those of you who don't know that I've been to West Hills hospital many times, and many were in the L&D area. My friends have had babies there and my mom had my siblings there. I've seen it, but just in case, I had a hospital tour scheduled in November. Yet still, I got to see it first hand last night as a patient.

After returning to work I noticed a shortness of breath. After an hour, I still couldn't catch my breath and my heart was beating out of my chest. I called my OB office and they told me to come right in. After some monitoring in thier office, they sent me to L&D for my advanced monitoring. I had tons of blood work, EKG, ultrasounds, and fetal monitoring. It was quite the episode. After 4 hours, I was released, everything was ok. In the end it turned out that I had waited to long to eat and my blood sugar level dropped. The combination of what I ate and my body dumping insulin into my blood caused heart palputations. Lesson learned: Eat more frequently, and eat protien instead of sugar when my blood levels are low.

Aside from that excitement, my appointment for 23 weeks took place. Everything is right on track. I am still below my weight gain and measuring exactly where I should be. I also have my glucose test to look forward to in a few weeks. I also noticed that our Childbirth classes begin next month. I can't believe how fast time is flying by! Addison will be here before we know it!!

Our registry is complete!

We tackled Babies R us and Target last week. It was quite overwhelming and I had even researched heavily beforehand. All in all, it was fun picking out stuff for our little Addie :)

22 Week Belly Picture

Here it is! The belly at 22 weeks. I swear that she has grown tons lately. What didn't fit me a month ago in maternity clothing, certainly fits me now!

I feel her move all of the time now. It is the strangest experience to see your stomach move and feel things wiggling around in there. There are many times when I forget she's in there, then she moves around and alerts me!

The results are in....

We'll be expecting our little girl, Addison Elaine Prince around December 4th this year. Everything was perfect in the ultrasound!! Needless to say, Roger and I were shocked, we thought it was going to be a little boy. We are thrilled either way!

19 Week Update

I had my 19 week appointment today. The doctor says everything looks perfect! The baby is measuring exactly 19 weeks. The heartbeat was around 140. My weight gain is perfect as well. All of our genetic tests came back normal. Another sigh of relief :) We go on Friday to find out if it's a boy or a girl, so be on the look-out! Also, I'll be posting some shots from our recent vacation to Lake Mead AND some updated belly shots for those asking ;)

As far as the room is coming, Roger measured out where the addition will be done. After we know the gender, we'll pick paint colors. But there is tons of work to be done before then. I also started cleaning out the room. For a room that is actually called a guest bedroom, I should have renamed it a junk collection closet!

New shot of the belly! It doesn't look much bigger, but I feel like it is ;)

My new haircut!

I cut all of my hair off today. I love it! It was getting to the point where blow-drying it was a task. I feel so much better! And I figured I would keep the fun highlights for the summer :)

21 June 2006

My pregnant outfit :)

Today I wore this sundress and heard all day about how big I was getting. The dress isn't even maternity, but it's comfy! After I had Roger take some pictures, I saw what people were saying!

13 June 2006

15 Week Update

I had my 15 week check-up on Monday. Everything is looking great! We have our big ultrasound scheduled for July 14th to determine if we are having a boy or a girl. Everyone has told me boy so far. According to the chinese gender calendar, it's a boy. According to the heart rate wives tale (150 at last vist), it's a girl. So who knows!!!

Other than having a few normal blood tests scheduled over the next month, nothing else eventful is happening with the baby :)

14 Week Belly Picture

Here is the belly at 14 weeks. I am feeling much, much better these days. I'm still feeling pretty tired, but the sickness has totally vanished. Thank goodness! Roger and I are looking forward to finding out if we are having a little girl or boy in 6 more weeks!!

May River Trip

We spent Mother's Day weekend camping on the Colorado River with our friends. We had such a great time! Tons of time on our boat, on the raft, and in the water. It was hot!!
