Halloween Pictures

We went to my friend Lacie's Birthday party on Friday night. Our costumes were so wrong, but there were very few that actually fit me!

Happy Birthday to me!

Jayden at the Pumpkin patch!

I really intended on taking more pictures ;) but my camera battery died! Anyway, I had to share my picture of adorable Jayden (John and Kirstin's son). He looked so handsome in his little overalls. Of course being 9 months old, he just wanted to eat the pumpkins!

32 Week Ultrasound shots

More recently (Friday) we had another ultrasound done. The Dr. estimated that Addison weighs 4.5 pounds now. She is already in the head down, face back position. Perfect for delivery :) Not so perfect for getting ultrasound shots. The one thing we did see were her little fat rolls, it was cute! In one shot you can also see her long hair. The other kinda creeps me out, but it's a face shot!

29 Week Ultrasound Shots

Very delayed, but I scanned in some shots from our ultrasound at 29 weeks.

Addison's Christmas Morning outfit

I found the cutest little velvet outfit for Addison to wear on Christmas morning. It even came with a little headband :) I'm still searching for a cute outfit for her to wear to our family Christmas gathering, but I couldn't resist this one!

31 Week Belly Picture

I can't believe it, 31 weeks!! Actually almost 32 now, I slack a bit on posting. I am feeling great and at my last doctor's apt, they said Addison is growing just perfectly. She is measuring a week ahead of schedule and is already in the head down position. We have another ultrasound coming up on the 13th of October, from there my apts are every 2 weeks, then every week. On Sunday I will be 8 months pregnant. It's amazing how time flies. We have some finishing touches to do on her room, then we are done! So exciting!!

Baby Shower Pictures!

My friends Lacie, Genie, Kirstin and Rosie hosted an amazing baby shower for Roger and I over the weekend. It had to have been the most elegant baby shower I have ever seen. Everything was so beautifully coordinated. The cake was not only gorgeous, but yummy too! One layer was white cake with fresh strawberries, the other banana cake with bavarian cream filling. In fact, all of the food was to die for!!

We played fun games (including the men!) and opened gifts. Everything was just perfect! I got so many amazing and thoughful gifts. I was overwhelmed! There are so many things I don't need any more of for little Addison :)

Thank you guys from the bottom of my heart!! I could not have dreamt of anything more spectactular and so heartfelt :)

30 Week Update

Hi All! Things are going great for me. I hit 30 weeks this past Sunday. I also found out that I passed my 3 hour glucose test...woohooo! Such a huge relief. We are working hard on the baby's room and should have tons of pictures to share soon. I'll be able to post more often since we'll finally be getting high-speed internet this week.

Little Addison is growing tons. It's crazy, I can actually feel her feet pushing against me close to my ribs. It such a strange and totally different feeling from when I first started to feel her move. She is surely much bigger now! I'm getting the joys of the third trimester like back aches and restless nights, but nothing to really complain about.

This weekend my friends are throwing a baby shower for me. I am so excited!! Lots of pictures to come :)

Small projects accomplished in Addison's Room

The letters I painted to hang on the wall above her crib. The light fixture is part of her bedding collection. Roger just hung it last night :)

I failed :(

The one hour glucose test! My number was 146, the cut off was 140. I know have to re-take the test with an extra sugary drink and a three hour fast before and after the drink. I hope I pass the second time around!!

Some updated pics of Addie's Room

We have drywall!!! Woohoo! And a quick shot of her little door plaque and new bookcase :)

25 Week Belly Picture

Getting bigger and bigger! Next time we'll need to do a full length shot :)

Things are going great for me. Little Addison moves around quite a bit now. I'm starting to discover some of the more unpleasent pregnancy side effects, but I'll certainly not complain about it! I have my lovely glucose test coming up next week. This is the test where I fast for three hours, drink some awful sugar-loaded orange drink, fast another hour, and then have blood drawn. It's supposed to measure how my body is processing sugar in my boday. Hopefully I'll pass! If not, instead of a one hour wait between drink and bllod draw, next time it will be three hours!

The start of Addison's room!

Roger has been working so hard and has done such a fantastic job building the addition on to Addison's room. Here are the first shots of the base addition almost complete. Now we begin the drywall, ceiling, painting, flooring and trimwork. We still have far to go, but I wanted to show off the amazing craftsmanship Roger has shown thus far!

My unwanted tour of Labor & Delivery!

Along with a 23 week update!

I'll tell those of you who don't know that I've been to West Hills hospital many times, and many were in the L&D area. My friends have had babies there and my mom had my siblings there. I've seen it, but just in case, I had a hospital tour scheduled in November. Yet still, I got to see it first hand last night as a patient.

After returning to work I noticed a shortness of breath. After an hour, I still couldn't catch my breath and my heart was beating out of my chest. I called my OB office and they told me to come right in. After some monitoring in thier office, they sent me to L&D for my advanced monitoring. I had tons of blood work, EKG, ultrasounds, and fetal monitoring. It was quite the episode. After 4 hours, I was released, everything was ok. In the end it turned out that I had waited to long to eat and my blood sugar level dropped. The combination of what I ate and my body dumping insulin into my blood caused heart palputations. Lesson learned: Eat more frequently, and eat protien instead of sugar when my blood levels are low.

Aside from that excitement, my appointment for 23 weeks took place. Everything is right on track. I am still below my weight gain and measuring exactly where I should be. I also have my glucose test to look forward to in a few weeks. I also noticed that our Childbirth classes begin next month. I can't believe how fast time is flying by! Addison will be here before we know it!!
