Celebrating Addie's 2nd Birthday at her Great Grandma's!

During Thanksgiving we celebrated recent birthdays for Roger's side of the family. Of course this included Ms. Bug's 2nd Birthday. I think this kid had more parties this year than Paris Hilton when she turned 21!

Family Ties

Hanging on to Mommy or Daddy is a typical warm -up activity for Adds.
Aunt Cindy and Addison. She loved the musical card and kept opening and closing, opening and closing, rinse, lather, repeat.

Addison and her great-grandma

Roger, his mom, his grandma, and Addie.

We recently had a BBQ at our house to Celebrate Roger and his mom's birthdays. We also wrapped up some Mother's day celebrating as well. It was the most perfect weather for an outdoor BBQ and the company wasn't shabby either :) Thank you to our family for driving all the way out to our house and not complaining about it one bit! It was fun to have you here. Addison had a blast once she got used to so many people in the house. After that she was running around and playing ball with anyone who would participate.

The One Mother's Day Picture We Took!

You'll have to excuse the look for first thing in the morning!

My Mother's Day Gift

Made especially by Miss Addison Elaine. I knew something was up the day she came home with purple paint under her fingernails ;) I proudly show my gift atop my desk at work.

Celebrating Megan's Birthday!

Check out this fun chicken that dances! Addie's godmother Jen gave it to her.
It cracks her up!
She is digging in her ladybug Easter basket to see what other goodies she can find!
Poor Addie's teeth were hurting her :( Nothing like the dual-pointer finger action to gnaw on!
'Mommy, HOLD ME!'
I'm wonder if Jen's camera has the btter shot of this pic??
Reading my farm book...
Ohh, doggie..

Happy Easter!!

These are the only pics, we couldn't find the camera all day! Yup, Ms. thing had it stuffed in the couch cushions!

We had a great family lunch and Easter Egg hunt in our new backyard! I was pretty darn proud of myself for making a huge feast. We had ham, deviled eggs, cream of spinach, asparagus, baked carrotts and pearl onions, homemade mac and cheese and garlic mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, three bean salad and a kick butt garden salad! I made it all with the exception of the spinach and cranberry sauce!

Pre-Christmas Pics, I forgot to share..

I don't know how I missed posting these; blame the craziness of the holidays. We had put up our tree a little over a week before Christmas. Needless to say, Addison was intrigued. We did put all shatterproof ornaments up with plastic hooks just in case, but she did a great job of listening to "no-no" when she touched the tree. She mostly would just stare and point at the tree, we would tell her "Tree" or "lights", then 5 seconds later-lather, rinse, repeat. Ahh, the joys of teaching children what words are :)

We got presents in the mail from Nana and Aunt Kristen weeks ago. We quickly put them under the tree once it was decorated. Most of the time she left them alone, but on this day she was playing with the gifts. We got some pictures to capture the moment!

Christmas this year was so much fun! To see the holidays through a child's eyes is a gift; A blessing for which I will be forever grateful. This year it was so exciting to see Addison "help" opening gifts and enjoying all of her new toys and clothes. Most of all, Addison enjoyed hanging out and spending time with her family. She is such a special girl to everyone, and she received so much love and gifts from many. We were able to stay home and relax on Christmas day, a tradition that is from my family. We would always visit the grandparents on Christmas Eve, then spend Christmas day at home in our jammies, playing with our new toys. I was so grateful to not have to drag Addison out of the house and drive her around all day. Between Christmas Eve and Christmas day, it was the perfect combination of family and quality time.

Christmas Eve Pics!

The only pics of Addison in her dress. She wasn't too comfy, so we changed her into jammies pretty quick. She looked so cute though!

Addison's First Visit With Santa!

Addison isn't quite looking at the camera, but she wasn't crying so we took it! Of course if Roger had listened to the litlle elf, he would have stood in the right place and she would have been looking straight ahead.

Our Christmas Card!

Photobucket

It was really rough trying to get a good picture of Addison for the card. Between her not feeling good and being so busy up until her party, I just didn't have the chance I would have liked to really pull a card together. I still love the big smile we wound up with for the card :)

Christmas Card Out-takes!

You can see the actual card when it arrives in your mailbox ;) These were some of the extras from our unsuccessful photo shoots. Not that i can blame her, she's been sick for weeks :(
